AWESOME!
That’s 500+ changed lives. We serve an AMAZING God.
Toby, I hope you’re drinking it all in. Let this refuel you too!
I am sitting here reading this with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes! This is amazing!!! Three of my family members were baptized yesterday! I have never felt closer to the Kingdom of God than I do now! Thanks Toby for all you do to advance God’s kingdom!
I am totally in awe!! I just sent out an email to all my “email buddies” - Christian and non-christian telling them about what happened on Sunday. I know that God is going to use what he did on Sunday in an even bigger way!!! We just have to hang on and see what’s next!!!!! Thanks for being obedient and a risk-taker!!!!
We often talk about how God whispers. Well, SOMEbody in Heaven was sure shouting yesterday, and we count ourselves blessed to be within earshot.
I was number 306 at Argyle. My son was number 305.. unplanned, unquestioned.
It just happens to have been one of the best birthday presents a mom could ask for
I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for yesterday. I had always wondered if me being baptized as a baby was enough. I always felt kinda “left out” because I was too young to remember and wanted to feel the amazing power of being baptized. Yesterday I took that leap of faith and hadn’t planned to prior to walking through those doors. I left the Argyle campus after service feeling like I could breathe again; like an enormous weight had been lifted off my shoulders. You do amazing work Toby and for that I will be eternally greatful!
500…. Awesome - Awesome - Awesome!!
We are so thankful to be a part of Cross Timbers. God bless all of the awesome staff. I don’t know how anyone could attend Cross Timbers and not come to Christ.
What a wonderful life experience I shared with the Cross Timbers Church members and staff yesterday. One of my most significant Christian experiences was when I was a teenager in Orlando Fl and I attended a Billy Graham Crusade. I was overwhelmed by the throng of people who went forward to profess their faith in Jesus as the Son of God.
The significant difference yesterday was that you and the staff were prepared not only for the commitment but also for the Baptism. What a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved. The Baptizing of the families together was fabulous.
October 5, 2008 is now my most significant memory in my Christian journey and I thank you for following your heart as God lead you to make a difference in the lives of people who came to the services on this Sunday.
It is obvious that the Holy Spirit is annointing and resting in this place called Cross Timbers Community Church. Thank you Toby for your obedience and courage, we are all reaping the blessing. Five Hundred…FIVE HUNDRED lives, changed forever!! I will never grow tired of seeing that. All praise be to God our Father, Jesus our Savior and the Holy Spirit our helper.
Party!
Before I came to cross timbers I could count the times I had been to church on one hand. Always with friends, because my family never went, and I remember feeling like I didn’t belong, always. Mostly because I was not ‘allowed’ in my friends minds to take communion because I wasn’t baptized. Always waiting behind and being stared at as one of ‘those’ people. I gave up seeking God in a church but always kept something in my heart. Years later, my best friend kept bugging me about her church she loved so much and never, ever gave up inviting me. I was struggling with drugs, drinking, and you name it…. pregnant and totally alone I finally went, despite my reservations. You have such an incredible staff and I felt so comfortable there, like I had always been welcome. The first place I never felt left out. Fast forward 2 years and I was baptized yesterday and it was one of the best days of my whole life. I finally feel like I can breathe now and I feel like my daughter has a whole parent for the first time. Thank you so much for being the vessel that brought me back home to God and all these wonderful people.
Toby,
I love you and am proud of your leadership!
Incredible
Hey man. Take another sabatical! LOL. Seriously, I know you claim NO part of this, but bless you for allowing God to work through you, for simply stepping completely out of the way to allow God to work through you. Love ya man.
Craig
Toby.
Praise God!!!
Sowing seeds. God showed me Sunday while hanging out those white towels to dry on the fence at Denton that each towel was evidence of surrender. Evidence to a life changed. Reborn.
So while sharing this good news (of the 500) with a brother I had not seen in over a year it encouraged me. That EVERY person that shares their faith and lives that life
of Christlikeness towards those around them are each one a sower of this seed that
manifest itself in the bearing of fruit we witnessed this past Sunday.
So I Praise God for you, your family, our staff and their families and to each person that
sows this seed everyday.
To everyone…keep sowing.
Gerald
I was #1 at the 10:45am Baptism, Keller campus. Cold water, awesome, thankful, full of God’s blessings, His grace. These are a few of the words to describe how I felt Sunday. I close my eyes and can see Jesus on that cross, beaten, bleeding, dying a horible death just for me, that my sins have been washed away. Every time I think of this, tears just roll off of my face.
Barrett really rocked, 12 songs in a row!
Thank you Toby. Thank you to the Keller campus staff. May God continue to bless you and CTCC!
Sometimes I get so frustrated with myself and wish I could be more bold in sharing my faith, that I’ll be asked tough questions that I’m not prepared to answer. I forget that it is not about what I am capable of. It’s about what God is capable of and that is so far beyond my imagination! Over the years we have brought our nieces and nephews to church with us whenever they would spend the weekend with us. On Sunday, my niece came to church with us again. Normally, she would not be in church on Sunday morning, or even so much as having a conversation about Jesus. All I did was drive this child to church and walk her in and sit down beside her. I did nothing else. She was baptised on Sunday, PRAISE THE LORD! AND MY OLDEST TWO CHILDREN WERE BAPTISED AS WELL!!! All three of those precious sweeties were baptised together! I could not have even thought of that myself! What a gift! We don’t have to be Billy Graham or a pastor or have every Bible verse memorized. Simply plant a seed and Jesus will work wonders! Invite someone to church with you and Jesus will do the rest my friends! I know Jesus because my two friends growing up who lived across the street from me went to church every Sunday. There parents took me to church maybe a handful of times in the eighteen years that I lived there. That’s it! A handful. And God used those few times in church to seal my destiny! And now, my sweet babies will know him too! Invite someone to church and save their life!
I was one of those 317 people baptized at argyle. I feel like God has truly blessed me. Thank you Toby for doing exactly what God put on your heart to do this past sunday. It was amazing.
